Mary Glazier is a West Palm Beach-based collage & placemaking artist working with expired paper materials, overlooked physical spaces and archival photos. As the founder of a women's surf school and community called Gurferlady, Mary lives in rhythm with Florida's seasons. Her creative process is rooted in a scrappy resourcefulness that keeps waste to a minimum.
Highlights include:

The result feels both whimsical and weighted: a celebration of playfulness that also holds space for history & remembrance.
Through placemaking and material reinvention, Mary embraces expired stories and brings new light to forgotten places, characters and materials.

A self-taught artist with roots in both the South Carolina Lowcountry and Palm Beach County, Mary has spent her life floating along the east coast waterways. Through Gurferlady's placemaking workshops, community surf events, and commissioned collage installations, she has engaged with more than 1,000 participants over the past 5 years.
