Historical PBC Collage Wallpaper for We Are 1909 Coworking Space

Created in collaboration with the Palm Beach County Historical Society, Mandel Public Library, and We Are 1909, this custom collage wallpaper transforms eight walls into a playful, layered portrait of Palm Beach County’s entrepreneurs, creators, and changemakers. Drawing from archival imagery and local history, I reassembled fragments of the region’s past alongside native foliage and fauna, allowing familiar stories to take on unexpected new life.

Iguanas overtake Palm Beach’s first luxury pier, Seminole figures sit atop a throne of oranges, and Lily Pulitzer smokes a clematis flower. Alongside these surreal juxtapositions, a visual timeline traces the evolution of Clematis Street from 1895 through hurricanes, reconstruction, and renewal. The result is an immersive, ever-unfolding collage that invites viewers to encounter local history through a lens of curiosity, irreverence, and remembrance.
